The Baden-Badener Unternehmer Gespräche e.V. took place from 4-5 June 2026 at Boehringer Ingelheim RCV in Vienna.
Across two days, leaders from business, science and politics came together to explore a shared question: How do we drive innovation while strengthening our democratic foundations in the EU?
On Day 1, Alexander Schallenberg, former Federal Chancellor of Austria and Foreign Minister, Brigitte Ederer, former State Secretary for European Affairs, Heinz Fassmann, President of the Austrian Academy of Sciences and Wali Malik, Head of AI Driven Lab Robotics at AITHYRA shared their perspectives on the joint efforts needed to regain competitiveness in the EU. The meeting closed out with visits to Boehringer Ingelheim’s global oncology R&D center and its state-of-the-art biopharmaceutical manufacturing site.
